Day Before Departure

I'm leaving in about 15 hours, and I'll need all that time to finish packing, but I wanted to take a moment to make a broad sweeping general goodbye and farewell to my beloved family and friends. Thank you for getting me this far in life and thanks for promising to be there for me as I move into this next phase. I couldn't do any of this without your love and support. I hope you'll indulge me a sentimental moment as I leave you with this poem by e.e. cummings:

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)

i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

Have a great Tuesday and I look forward to reporting to you from Bolivia

Much Love,

Emily

You are a joy to me and always have been. Cochabamba will shine brighter for your being there. I will miss you terribly but look forward to sharing your adventure as you tell it here.

Oops, wrong account, the first comment was from Momma, not SchoolAdmin, although I'm sure we all feel the same.
